ABOUT ME
Evguenia Alechine
I 'm a scientist and digital nomad. Sustainability advocate and biohacker. Acroyoga teacher and communicator.
I was born in Moscow, Russia, and I have lived in Argentina since I was 5 years old.
I studied biochemistry, did a master in biomedical sciences and a PhD in human genetics, all at the University of Buenos Aires.
For the past 4 years, I’ve been working in the field of science communication as an editor, writer and mentor in medical writing and scientific communication for students, PhDs and healthcare professionals.
Since 2017, I focus my work in the field of biohacking (or health optimization) spreading scientific knowledge with people so that they take their health and wellbeing in their own hands. Since I live according to my principles, I apply biohacking and optimization tools to my own health.
For the last 2 years, I’ve also been traveling the world as a digital nomad. I visited amazing places and met the most inspiring people. I am also a certified yoga and acroyoga teacher and life coach. I am passionate about traveling, meeting like-minded people and learning from them, teaching and sharing my knowledge, and becoming a better version of myself every day.
I currently lead the Medical Writing Organization (MWO), an advanced program by the Cheeky Scientist organization, which helps PhDs transition into the field of medical writing, and I am also the co-editor of the Medical Writing journal.
In 2018, I have been selected to be part of the Homeward Bound project, a global leadership program for women in STEMM that will provide us with the tools to face climate change and will take us to my next destination… Antártida.
I live according to my values:
Courage, Communication and Collaboration
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
Mahatma Gandhi

I Don’t Know
My whole life I tried to be perfect and to show up as someone who has everything figured out. I saw vulnerability as weakness. With Homeward Bound, I learned that to be a brave leader, I have to be willing to show up as I really am. So, here it goes!
